Weiying Sörlin (5D) Also, players with four victories or more were awarded 200 SEK to buy things from Mats go-shop. Three players got four victories: Hoang Vu (2k), Daniel Bengtsson (3k), Markus Artman (8k). Congratulations to you all!
Tournament
Arranged for the twenty-sixth time, Gothenburg Open is a relaxed and friendly Go tournament, held in the second largest city of Sweden. A five-round standard MacMahon tournament, open to all players. Japanese Rules. Thinking time is one hour each and byo-yomi is 3×30 seconds. It is allowed, although not recommended, to skip a round in the tournament if this is communicated in advance. The EGF rules otherwise apply. The tournament is a Swedish class B tournament for qualifying to the World Amateur Go Championship. Also players of the tournament will be able to compete for the Swedish Cup. Gothenburg Open 2010 is arranged with help from Sverok and Sverok Väst.
When?
Friday 5th of November to Sunday 7th of November.
Will there be lectures and game reviews by a professional player?
Yes! Kim Sung-Rae 8p will visit the tournament. Kim will give two lectures on Friday, one about ”Haengma” and one about ”Counting liberties in a capturing race”. He will also stay at the tournament on Saturday (after 16.00) and Sunday (whole tournament day) to help with game reviews and answer questions.
Prizes
Prize money will be awarded to first, second and third place. Other players with four victories or more will be awarded 200 SEK to buy something from Mats (www.mohsart.se) who will be at the tournament selling go stuff.

Location
The venue this year will be Schillerska Gymnasiet (street adress Vasagatan 19). It is an Upper Secondary School in the centre of Gothenburg. Vasagatan 19 is located between the two tram stops ”Vasaplatsen” and ”Vasa Viktoriagatan”. 
Accomodation
Sleep in a dormitory room at the venue The school is large, and we may use as many rooms as we need for sleeping purposes. It is possible to sleep in the school the nights friday-saturday, and saturday-sunday. The cost is 50 SEK / 5 EURfor both nights per person. If you want to sleep in the school, remember to bring something to sleep on. We will provide a place on the floor and toilets. We have permission to use the showers in the school as well, so you may use these if you want. Hotels e.t.c For suitable Hotels in the area, see Google Maps: Hotels near Vasagatan 19. There are several hotels within 5 minutes walk from the venue. For Youth Hostels in a wider area, see YouthHostels.
Entry Fee
For players 10k or weaker, under age 15 or players attending their first tournament the tournament entry fee is 100 SEK / 10 EUR. For all other players the entry fee for playing in the tournament is 200 SEK / 20 EUR. The lectures on Friday are Free of charge! But please register even if you only plan on visiting the lectures. Tea and coffee is included in the fee. Please pay in SEK if possible.
