Although the game has very simple rules, it allows for complex and deep strategic thinking. Two players place black or white stones on grid intersections with the aim to control a larger part of the board than the opponent. The Swedish go association is a non-profit organisation with the purpose of spreading the interest for the game of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/goforbundet.se\/sgf\/index.php\/en\/go-in-sweden\/\">go in Sweden<\/a>. We, for example, arrange the annual\u00a0Swedish Championship, select representatives for\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/goforbundet.se\/sgf\/index.php\/en\/represent-sweden-abroad\/\">competitions abroad<\/a>, and represent the Swedish go community in contact with the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.eurogofed.org\/\">European Go Federation<\/a>\u00a0and the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/intergofed.org\/\">Interational Go Federation<\/a>.
