Stockholm Go Club invites you to the 2026 edition of the Swedish Championships on May 16th – May 17th.
The Swedish Championships is open to all players; beginners are of course welcome.
Rules
The tournament is a 5-round McMahon tournament with Japanese rules.
We use Fischer Time (Increment) with 45 minutes main time + 15 seconds per move
Komi is 6.5.
The tournament is reported as EGF A.
The Swedish champion is the highest-placed player who is a Swedish citizen, which is not necessarily the same person who wins the tournament.
Entry Fee
- 300 SEK – regular fee
- 150 SEK – if you are 18 years old or younger, or if you are ranked lower than 15 kyu.
- 50 SEK – if this is your first tournament and you are ranked lower than 1 kyu.
Prizes are awarded for first, second and third place, as well as to the kyu player with the most wins.
Venue
The Championships will this year be held at Stockholm Go Club’s premises at Norra Agnegatan 45 on Kungsholmen. There is a doorbell to the right of the door labelled Forodrim. Google Maps
