Workshop

Theme of the workshop is "Ikebana with Roses". It is limited to 20 participants, so please arrive on time.

The participants will receive an introduction to Ikebana and design their own Ikebana arrangement under the advice of three Ikebana teachers (from Sweden, Japan, and Germany).

Participants may take home their own arrangement for 200 SEK (100 SEK without kenzan), donated to the Tokomu Hus Fund, which works on deepening the relationship between Leksand and its partnership-town Tobetsu in Japan.

Spectators are welcome, but will be requested to behave quiet.

Exhibition

The exhibition will consist of about 10 - 12 arrangements designed by three Ikebana teachers from different Ikebana Schools.

During the exhibition the teachers will answer questions on Ikebana. Leaflets with information about Ikebana will be available in Swedish, English and German.

Visitors may get some floral material (e. g. roses) and Ikebana equipment (e. g. kenzans) that had not been used in the workshop (and had neither been taken home by the participants) for an adequate donation to the Tokomu Hus Fund.

Demonstrations

Visitors will get a short introduction into the design principles that are important in Ikebana. On two or three examples the Ikebana teachers will demonstrate how to put an Ikebana arrangement
