![]() P-A Lunds japansk-svensk-engelska GO-ordlista P-A Lund's Japanese-Swedish-English GO Glossary Introduction
This is a first attempt at creating a Japanese-Swedish-English list of technical terms used in Japanese texts on the game of Go. The list is still far from complete, but my intention is to give Swedish-speaking Go players an aid in their study of Japanese (and English) Go literature. Another aim is to give a basis for discussions about Swedish Go terminology.
The list contains a still rather incomplete selection of Japanese Go terms, rendered as kanji and/or kana (GIF images) and rômaji (transcription using Western letters). Circumflexes have been used to indicate vowel length. In addition to the technical terms I have chosen to include a number of everyday Japanese words often seen in texts on Go: karai, nurui, muri etc. Some of these words are used in their ordinary, everyday sense, others have a somewhat specialized meaning when they appear in a Go context.
All arrows are (or will be) linked. All underlined words are linked.
Criticism and comments are welcome. I am very much aware that my knowledge is limited, that I am guilty of all kinds of mistakes, that many terms are still missing from the list... |
